What is Yale WebMail?
Yale Webmail is an email service which may be accessed using a standard web browser. It contrasts with email support reachable through a specialized email customer software.
YaleMail is a service for alumni on the G Suite for Education platform, offering free, Yale-branded Gmail accounts. All Yale students receive an “@yale.edu” email account. Accounts for Yale College and most GSAS students are provided via EliApps, Yale’s version of Google G Suite.
NetID and Password
All Yale University students, faculty and staff members are assigned a NetID. Your NetID is automatically assigned to you by Human Resources and cannot be changed. Your Yale NetID and password allows you to access many University systems, such as Banner (student system), Yale’s email systems, and more.
Student NetIDs are created during the admission process. NetIDs are created for Yale faculty and staff members as part of their hiring and appointment process.
Activate Yale NetID
After receiving an email notification from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions that your NetID is ready for activation, follow these steps on a computer.
- Visit Yale NetID Management webpage
- Click on Active NetID
- Select Undergraduate Student and click on Next
- Click on Yale Admissions Status Portal Login
- Type your email address and password associated with your Yale Admissions Status Portal and click login
- Your NetID will be shown at the top of the page.
Yale Webmail Log in (Eli Apps)
- First visit Yale Webmail login webpage.
- Click on Sign in to your EliApps Mail account
- Enter your NetID and Password.
- Then click on the “Sign in” button.
Yale Webmail Log in (Office 365)
- First visit Yale Webmail login webpage.
- Click on Sign in to your Office 365 (O365) account
- Enter your email address and click on Next
- Then enter your Password.
Forgot Password
- First visit Yale Webmail login webpage.
- Click on Forgot My Password link
- Type your NetID and Recovery Email and click on Next
Add Your EliApps Account To Your Mobile Device
- Open Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Tap the “Sign in” button
- If you already have an email account linked in the app and want to add another account, simply tap your profile and then tap Add another account.
- Tap on Google
- Click on Continue to allow Google to sign into your account.
- Enter your full email address and click on next
- You will be automatically redirected to CAS . Log in using your NetID and password.
