What is GatorLink?
A GatorLink account is an individual’s computer network identity at the University of Florida. The Services, like a email, are accessed with the GatorLink account for eligible users with affiliations such as faculty, staff, and students.
You can use your Gatorlink account to access computers in Academic Technology labs on campus.
Create a GatorLink Account
To obtain a GatorLink account at the University of Florida you must have a qualifying Affiliation, need a personal email address and valid phone number in the UF Registry.
When these 3 requirements are met you will be sent an ‘Invitation’ email to your personal email. Once you have received an Invitation email, you can visit login.ufl.edu and click on the ‘Create Account’ button.
Follow the prompts to create your GatorLink username and password.
UF Webmail Log in / Login Using Gatorcloud Email
- First open their webmail login webpage.
- Click on Gatorcloud Email / Student Mail
- Enter your Gatorlink username and password.
- And click on Login button.
Changing Your Password
- Visit at to account.it.ufl.edu
- Click on Change Your Password
- Login with your GatorLink Username and current password.
- Read the overview of the “Acceptable Use Policy,” follow the link in the first paragraph to read the whole policy.
– When done, click ‘Accept & Continue’. - Enter your new password.
- Don’t forget to update your password on your mobile devices.
Forgot Password
- Visit at to account.it.ufl.edu
- Click on Forgot / Reset Your Password
- Click on Self-Service Reset
- Enter your UFID and GatorLink ID
- Enter your month and day of birth
- Choose a contact method for receiving a one time use verification code
- Enter Verification Code
- Read the overview of the Acceptable Use Policy, follow the link in the first paragraph to read the whole policy.
– When done, click Accept & Continue. - Enter your new password
- Don’t forget to update your password on your mobile devices
Login Using UF Exchange
UF Exchange is an email and collaboration service for University of Florida. Using UF Exchange users access calendar, directory, improve spam control, to do lists, reminders, and support for a wide variety of mobile devices.
- First open their webmail login webpage.
- Click on UF Exchange
- Enter your username and password
- Now click on Sign In button.
How To Access in UF Webmail Log in?
Ways to Log In:
Webmail is all online, so there’s nothing for your to set up. Simply log into using one of the Approaches below:
Option 1: Direct Login
- Open your Browser In your PC or Laptop.
- Open their webmail login webpage.
- Click on Gatorcloud Email / Student Mail
- Type your Gatorlink username and password.
- And click on Login button.
How to UF Email Setup for iPhone?
- Go to iPhone settings option.
- Navigate to Passwords and Accounts and then select Add Account.
- Next select Microsoft Exchange.
- Type your email address in the form of gatorlink@ufl.edu and Description and select Next
- On the pop-up, select Configure Manually.
- Then enter following details:
– Email: Type your email address in the format gatorlink@ufl.edu
– Server: outlook.office365.com
– Username: Type your email address in the format gatorlink@ufl.edu
– Password: Enter your password - Then click on the Next button.
- The app will then attempt to connect to your email.

Setup UF Email Account on Android Phone
- Step 1
Open Mail app in your android phone - Step 2
Then go to Settings and select Add an account. - Step 3
On the next page select Exchange and Office 365 - Step 4
Then Enter your email address in the form GatorLink@ufl.edu and then click on Setup Manually. - Step 5
On the next page enter following details:
– Password: type your password
– Domain\username: Type your email address in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu.
– Server: outlook.office365.com.
– Port: 443
– Security Type: SSL/TLS - Step 6
Once all fields are filled out, click on the Next button.
Congratulations! You’re all done here and ready to use your email accounts on your Android phone.
Setup UF Email Account on Outook O365 For Windows
- Step 1
Open Outlook and click on File in the top left corner. - Step 2
Then select +Add Account - Step 3
Type your email address in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and click on Connect button. - Step 4
Then select the Office 365 - Step 5
In the windows security prompt, type your email address in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and your password and check the box Remember My Credentials. - Step 6
Your account has now been added. It may take several minutes for your email and calendar items to appear.
Outlook 365 for Mac Setup
- Step 1
Open Outlook O365 for Mac. - Step 2
Enter your email address in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and click on Continue button. - Step 3
In login page type your normal GatorLink username and password and click on Login. - Step 4
Outlook will attempt to connect to your account.
Outlook App Setup for Android/IOS
- Step 1
Open the Outlook app, you will be prompted to enter your email address. - Step 2
Enter your email address in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and click on Add Account. - Step 3
You will be taken to the normal GatorLink login page. Login using your GatorLink username and password and click on Login button - Step 4
Next, you will be prompted to add another account. If you want to link another account you can, otherwise select Maybe Later.
You will then be taken to your inbox and your email is now setup in the Outlook App..
Setup UF Email Account on IMAP/Thunderbird
- Step 1
Open Thunderbird and select Tools - Step 2
Select Accounts Setting on the Tools menu - Step 3
In the next window select Account Actions and then select Add Account - Step 4
Then enter following details:
– Your Name: enter your name
– Email address: type your email address (email should be in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu)
– Password: enter your password - Step 5
Once done select Continue - Step 6
Thunderbird will attempt to connect to your email account but it will fail, check the following details
– Under Incoming server
– Incoming: IMAP
– Server hostname: outlook.office365.com
– Port: 993
– SSL: SSL/TLS
– Authentication: Normal Password
– Username: gatorlink@ufl.edu
– Under Outgoing Server
– Outgoing: SMTP
– Server hostname: SMTP.office365.com
– Port: 587
– SSL: Autodetect
– Authentication: Normal Password
– Username: gatorlink@ufl.edu - Step 7
Once done select Re-Test and then Done.
Your email account is now connected.
Setup UF Email Account on Mac Mail
- Step 1
Open Mac Mail app and select Mail and then select Accounts - Step 2
Click on Exchange - Step 3
In the next menu enter your Name and your email address then click on Sign In button - Step 4
You will be prompted to sign in again. Click on the Sign In button. - Step 5
On the next page normal Gatorlink Login page will appear. Enter your username and password then click on Login button. - Step 6
On the next screen you will be prompted to select what info you would like to sync. Once you have selected click Done.
You have now successfully added your account.
