What is FSU WebMail? / What is myFSU?

myFSU is an online resources offered by Florida State University. myFSU provides a variety of online tools you need to be successful on campus.

Using myFSU Portal, faculty and staff can access resources to help them with teaching, advising, or administrative functions on campus. And students have quick access to the student information system, using myFSU Portal.

Student email

Student email is a free, cloud-based service available to all FSU students.Using your Microsoft 365 Outlook student email account, you have access to email, calendars, contacts and tasks. You can also access your email from anywhere with desktop, web and mobile apps.

Activate your FSUID

FSUID is your username for signing in and accessing many Florida State University systems and resources, like a myFSU Portal, OMNI, Canvas, and Wi-Fi. FSUIDs are issued to students, faculty, staff, student applicants, and some FSU guests and vendors.

• Go to my.fsu.edu.
• Click on Activate/Manage FSUID and click Proceed.
• Then enter your FSUID or EMPLID, and click on Continue button.
• On the next page enter your date of birth, then click on Continue.
• US citizens: Verify the last five digits of your Social Security Number
• International users: Verify your personal email address
• Then click Continue.
• Students will then be required to select three security questions and enter the answers to each question. When all questions and answers have been selected/created, then Continue.
• Finally, students will need to enter a password for their account. After confirming the password, click Continue.

Congratulations! Your FSUID account has been activated.

FSU WebMail Log in

• First visit FSU Webmail webpage.
• Click the @MYFSU.
• Sign in with your @my.fsu.edu email address and password.

How To Access in FSU WebMail Log in?

Ways to Log In:

Webmail is all online, so there’s nothing for your to set up. Simply log into using one of the Approaches below:

Option 1: Direct Login

• Open your Browser In your PC or Laptop.
• Go to FSU Webmail webpage.
• Click the @MYFSU.
• Sign in with your @my.fsu.edu email address and password.

How to FSU Email Setup for iPhone? / Set up student email on iOS device

• Open the Mail app on your iPhone
• Go to Settings, Passwords & Accounts, and then Add Account
• Tap Exchange
• Enter below details and select Next
  – Email: enter your FSUID in the form of FSUID@my.fsu.edu
  – Description: Exchange
• Select Sign In
• Then select Work or school account
• Then enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and select Next
• On the next window, enter your FSUID password and click on Sign In
• Select the items you would like to sync with your device
• Select Save

How to set up employee email on iOS device?

iOS Mail app (Recommended Settings)

• Open the Mail app
• Go to Settings, Passwords & Accounts, and then Add Account
• Tap Exchange
• Enter your FSUID in the form of FSUID@fsu.edu and tap Next
• Select Sign In
• On the next window, enter your FSUID password and click on Sign In button.

iOS Mail app (IMAP Settings)

• Go to Settings menu, tap Mail and tap Add Account
• Select Other
• Tap Add Mail Account
• On the New Account screen, fill in the following details:
  – Name: Your name
  – Address: FSUID@fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
• The New Account screen will ask for additional information including Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server.
  Incoming Mail Server:
  – Host Name: outlook.office365.com
  – User Name: FSUID@fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
  Incoming Mail Server:
  – Host Name: outlook.office365.com
  – User Name: FSUID@fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
• Tap Next at the top of the window to complete your email setup

Setup FSU Email Account on Android Phone / Set up student email on Android device

• Step 1
  Open your Email app on your Android device
• Step 2
  Select Corporate
• Step 3
  On the following screen, enter your @my.fsu.edu email address and password. Then click Manual Setup
• Step 4
  Select Exchange, then enter the following details:
  Under Account Section:
  – Email Address: FSUID@my.fsu.edu
  – Domain\Username: fsu\FSUID
  – Password: Your Password
  Under Server Settings:
  – Exchange Server: m.outlook.com
  – Check on Use secure connection(SSL)
• When ready, tap Next.
• From here, your device will verify permissions and security settings. Tap OK to finish the setup.

Set up employee email on Android phone

Android (Office 365 Settings)

• Step 1
  Open Settings
• Step 2
  Tap Accounts and then tap Add account
• Step 3
  Type your FSUID in the form of FSUID@fsu.edu
• Step 4
  The Server field may show fsu.edu, change it to outlook.office365.com
• Step 5
  Your device will notify you of the permissions you are required to give in order to use an Exchange account on the device. Agree to these permissions and continue.

Android (IMAP Settings)

• Step 1
  Open Settings
• Step 2
  Scroll down to Accounts heading and click Add Account
• Step 3
  Enter your email address in the form FSUID@fsu.edu, then enter your password and click Next
• Step 4
  On the next page, enter the following details, then tap Next:
  – Username: FSUID@fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
  – Server: outlook.office365.com
  – Port: 993
  – Security type: SSL/TLS
• Your SMTP server settings should match the following
  – SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
  – Port: 587
  – Security type: STARTTLS
  – Require Sign In : checked
  – Username: FSUID@fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
• Step 5
  Your device will ask you to check and modify some initial settings
• Step 6
  Confirm these settings and tap Next to complete your email setup

How to set up student email on the Outlook mobile app?

• Step 1
  Open the Outlook app
• Step 2
  In the Add Account page, enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and select Add Account
• Step 3
  In FSU sign in window, enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and click on Next button.
• Step 4
  On the next window, enter your FSUID password and click on Sign In button.

Set up student email on Mac Mail (macOS 10.14 – Mojave)

• Step 1
  Open Mail app
• Step 2
  On the Mail menu, click Add Account
• Step 3
  Select Exchange and click Continue
• Step 4
  On the next window enter the following details and click Sign In:
  – Name: Your name
  – Email Address: Your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address
• Step 5
  On the Sign in to your Exchange account using Microsoft? window, click on Sign In
• Step 6
  On the next window, select Work or school account
• Step 7
  On the FSU sign in window, enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and select Next
• Step 8
  On the next window, enter your FSUID password and select Sign In
• Step 9
  Select the apps you wish to sync with your Exchange account and click Done

Set up student email in Outlook for Office 365

• Step 1
  Open Outlook
• Step 2
  Enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and click Connect
• Step 3
  On the FSU sign in window, enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and select Next
• Step 4
  On the next window, enter your FSUID password and select Sign In
• Step 5
  If you wish to sign in to other Office 365 apps, leave the “Allow my organization to manage my device” box checked and click Yes
• Step 6
  Your @my.fsu.edu email account has been added to Outlook for Office 365

How to set up student email in Outlook for Mac?

• Step 1
  Open Outlook for Mac.
• Step 2
  On the Tools menu, click on Accounts
• Step 3
  In the Accounts dialog box, click +, and then click Exchange
• Step 4
  On the Enter your Exchange account information page, enter the following details:
  – E-mail address: Your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address
  – Method: User name and password
  – User name: FSUID@my.fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
• Step 5
  When ready, click Add Account
• Step 6
  Your setup is complete! Outlook will configure your account automatically

Set up employee email on the Outlook mobile app

• Step 1
  Open the Outlook app
• Step 2
  In the Add Account menu, enter your FSUID@fsu.edu email address and select Add Account
• Step 3
  On the next window, enter your FSUID@fsu.edu email address and select Next
• Step 4
  On the next window, enter your FSUID password and select Sign In
• Step 5
  Complete the two-factor authentication (2FA) process

Set up student email in Outlook 2016

• Step 1
  Open Outlook
• Step 2
  Click on File, then click Add Account
• Step 3
  Enter the following details and click Next:
  – Your Name: Your name
  – Email Address: FSUID@my.fsu.edu
  – Password: Your FSUID password
• Step 4
  If prompted to select between Work or school account or Personal Account, select Work or school account
• Step 5
  Then FSU sign in window will appear, enter your FSUID@my.fsu.edu email address and select Next
• Step 6
  On the next window, enter your FSUID password and select Sign In
