What is Cox WebMail?

Cox Webmail is an email account that can be accessed using a standard web browser when connected to the internet. Webmail allows the users to send and receive email anywhere from a web browser, as long as you are connected to the Internet.

Cox Webmail Log in

  • First open this webpage.
  • Enter your User ID and Password.
  • You should check the ‘Remember User ID’ box to help save login data for future use if you use your personal computer.
  • Then click on the “Log in” button.

Forgot Cox User ID?

  • Visit webmail.cox.net.
  • Click the Forgot User ID link in the Sign In box.
  • For security, you will provide your Cox 16-digit account number, PIN, or the last four digits of your Social Security Number and the Secret Answer to your Secret Question.

Forgot Password?

  • Visit webmail.cox.net.
  • Click the Forgot Password? link in the Sign In box.
  • Enter your User ID to reset the password.
  • Follow the instructions to reset your password. For security, you will enter your Secret Answer to the Secret Question.
  • Return to the Sign In box and log in with the new password.

How To Access in Cox Webmail Log in?

Ways to Log In:

Webmail is all online, so there’s nothing for your to set up. Simply log into using one of the Approaches below:

Option 1: Direct Login

  • Open your Browser In your PC or Laptop.
  • Type your email address and password, then click on Login.

How to Cox Email Setup for iPhone?

Use the following steps to update Mail on iOS to secure port settings for sending and receiving your Cox Business email.

  • Go to the Settings app on your device.
  • Scroll down, then tap Passwords & Accounts.
  • Find your Cox Email account, then tap it.
  • Tap the Account field.
  • Tap Advanced.
  • Under the INCOMING MAIL SERVER section, complete the following.
    a. Ensure Use SSL is enabled.
    b. In the Server Port field, update one of the following port numbers based on if you use POP or IMAP.
    – For IMAP, delete 143 and then enter 993.
    – For POP, delete 110 and then enter 995.
    c. Tap Account.
  • Under the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER section, tap SMTP.
  • Under PRIMARY SERVER, tap smtp.coxmail.com.
  • Under the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER section, complete the following.
    a. Ensure Use SSL is enabled.
    b. In the Server Port field, delete 25 and then enter 465.
    Note: If sending errors occur with 465, enter 587 instead.
    c. Tap Done.
  • Tap Account.
  • Tap Done.

Setting Up an iOS Device to Send and Receive Cox Email

Use the following steps to set up an iOS email client on your Apple device to send and receive Cox Email using IMAP settings.

  • From the iPhone or iPad Home screen, tap Settings.
  • On the Settings screen, tap Mail.
  • Tap Accounts.
  • On the Accounts screen, tap Add Account.
  • Tap Other.
  • Tap Add Mail Account.
  • On the New Account screen, enter the following information, then tap Next.
    – Name
    – Your Cox Email Address
    – Password
    – Description
  • From the IMAP screen, tap Save.

Cox.net – Incoming (IMAP) Mail Server details
Account Type IMAP
User Name The first part of your Cox Email address, without @cox.net.
Password Your Email Account Password
Server host-name imap.cox.net
Server Port Port number 993 with SSL enabled and the authentication box checked, if available
Required Authentication? Yes, Email account Username and Password

Cox.net – Outgoing (IMAP) Mail Server details

  • If the encryption type is SSL or SSL/TLS, then use 465
  • If the encryption type is TLS or if your device doesn’t support encryption, then use 587

  • If the encryption type is SSL or SSL/TLS, then use 465
  • If the encryption type is TLS or if your device doesn’t support encryption, then use 587

Sign in to Cox Business MyAccount

Use the following steps to sign in.

  • In a compatible web browser, go to webmail.coxbusiness.com.
  • In the User ID field, enter your full email address.
  • In the Password field, enter your password.
  • Click Sign In.

To sign out, in the top right corner of the window, click Logout.

Setup Cox Email Account on Android Phone

  • From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  • Tap the Email icon.
  • Have you set up any email account on your Email app before?
    – If this is the first time you are setting up email on your phone, then from the Set up Email screen, tap Others.
    – If you have added any email account previously, then press the Settings gear icon, and tap the Add Account        button.
  • From the Add new account screen, enter your full Cox Email Address and Password, then tap Manual setup.
    From the Select account type pop-up, tap IMAP account.
  • From the Server settings window, in the Outgoing server section, complete the following steps.
    a. In the Security Type drop-down, tap to select SSL.
    b. In the Port field, enter 465.
    c. Tap Next.Result: Your inbox displays.

Changing Email Server Settings for Android

  • To open your Email app, tap the Email icon.
  • On the upper-left corner, tap the Menu icon.
  • Tap the Settings icon.
  • From the Email settings window, tap your Cox Business Email account.
  • Scroll down to the Advanced settings section and then tap Server settings.
  • Complete the following under the Incoming server section.
    a. In the Security type drop-down menu, ensure SSL is selected.
    b. In the Port field, update one of the following port numbers based on if you use POP or IMAP.
    – For IMAP, delete 143 and then enter 993.
    – For POP, delete 110 and then enter 995.
  • Complete the following under the Outgoing server section.
    a. In the Security type drop-down menu, ensure SSL is selected.
    b. In the Port field delete 25 and then enter 465.
  • Tap Done.
