What is Comcast WebMail?
Comcast Webmail is an email service which may be accessed using a standard web browser. An Email system where a user may access their emails with a browser on any computer or device that’s connected to the web.
Users must log into their Comcast.net email accounts at least once every 12 months to maintain an active email account status. Users may log into their email accounts using Xfinity Connect webmail, a mobile email app or a third-party email client program such as Outlook.
What is an Xfinity ID?
Your Xfinity ID gives you access to everything from managing your account. Your Xfinity ID can be your email address, the mobile phone number you use to sign in, or your username.
Using Xfinity ID you can watch movies and shows on TV Everywhere network websites and mobile apps, Access Xfinity WiFi Hotspots across the country, manage your services, pay your bill.
Create an Xfinity ID?
- To create your Xfinity ID, go to xfinity.com/getstarted
- Select mobile phone number or Social Security number (SSN), then click Continue.
- Once your account has been verified, you’ll have the option to enter your existing, personal email address. You’ll have 72 hours to click the link sent to your email.
- When you’re all set, you’ll see a confirmation page with different ways to access your account and My Account and mobile applications. By clicking Continue, you’ll automatically logged in to My Account.
Comcast Webmail Log in
- First open this webpage.
- Type your Xfinity ID and password.
- Then click on the “Sign In” button.
Reset Your Xfinity Password
- First visit their login page
- Click on forgot password
- Enter your Xfinity ID and click Continue.
- Complete the security check by entering the moving letters in the box. Click Continue.
- Select any one option to recover your password and click Continue.
- Create and confirm your new password. Click Continue.
- You should see a confirmation page when you’re good to go.
Change Your Xfinity Password Online with My Account
- Login in to My Account and click the Users tab.
- Click Edit next to the user.
- Scroll to the Xfinity ID & Password section and click Edit next to Password.
- Enter the new password and confirm it by entering it again. Then, click Save.
Change Your Xfinity Password Using the Xfinity My Account App
- Login in to the Xfinity My Account app on your mobile phone.
- Click on the Account Information
- Click on Change Password.
- Type your current and new password twice to confirm it’s correct.
- Click on Save. A confirmation screen appears.
Invite a New User to Your Account by Email and/or Text
- Sign into My Account as the primary user.
- Tap the Users tab.
- Tap Add A New User
- Select Manager, Member or Viewer, then click on Continue button
- Type the new user’s first and last name.
- Enter the new user’s email address or mobile phone number, then click Invite User.
- A confirmation message will appear, and the new user will receive an email or text message invitation to create their account.
- Once the user accepts the invitation, they’ll be prompted to set up their username, password and password recovery method.
The new user account will be created once the forms are completed.

How to Comcast Email Setup for iPhone?
- Go to iPhone settings option.
- Click on the Mail client.
- Tap Accounts.
- Click on Add Mail Account.
- Select Other and enter following details
– Name: your name
– Email: email address
– Password: enter password
– Description: - Click on Next
- Tap Save.
All set! You’re ready to send and receive emails from your Comcast.net email while using your iPhone.
Setup Comcast Email Account on Android Phone
- Step 1
Open the Email app on your phone. - Step 2
Select other - Step 3
Type your email address and password and Click on Sign in. - Step 4
Next, enter your Xfinity password, then click on Sign In. - Step 5
You’ll be asked to verify your sign-in. Click on More options for other ways you can verify. - Step 6
Click on Receive a code by text message option and enter the code. - Step 7
You’re now signed in! Now, just wait for your email to load.

Setup Comcast Email account on Outlook 2013 or 2016
- Step 1
Open Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016. - Step 2
Click File - Step 3
Click the Account Settings, then select Account Settings… - Step 4
Click New… - Step 5
Select the E-mail Account, then click Next. - Step 6
Click on Manual setup or additional server types - Step 7
Click Next - Step 8
Choose POP or IMAP - Step 9
Click Next and enter following details:
User Information
– Your Name: Enter your name
– Email Address: your full email address
Server Information
– Account Type: Select IMAP
– Incoming mail server: imap.comcast.net
– Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net
Logon Information
– Confirm your Xfinity ID has automatically been entered into the User Name.
– Password: Enter your password - Step 10
Click More Settings… - Step 11
Click the Outgoing Server tab. - Step 12
Click the check-box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. - Step 13
Click on Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Then click the Advanced tab. - Step 14
Enter following details:
– Incoming server (IMAP): 993
– Use the following type of encrypted connection: Select SSL
– Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
– Use the following type of encrypted connection: Select TLS - Step 15
Click OK. - Step 16
Click Next. - Step 17
Tap Close when the test completes. - Step 18
Click Finish. - Step 19
Click Close.
Configure Mail 9 on Mac OS X El Capitan for Comcast Email
- Step 1
Open the Mail app - Step 2
If at least one email account is already configured, click Mail then click Add Account… - Step 3
Next choose Add Other Mail Account and click Continue - Step 4
Enter following details:
– Name: enter your name.
– Email Address: enter your email address.
– Password: enter your email password. - Step 6

Click Add Other Mail Account..., then enter the following information:

Hold down the Option key and click Next - Step 5
Under Incoming Mail Server enter the following information:
– Account Type: Select IMAP
– Mail server: imap.comcast.net
– User Name: Your Comcast username
– Password: Your Comcast email password - Step 6
Click Next. - Step 7
Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter the following information:
– SMTP Server: smtp.comcast.net
– User Name: Your Comcast username
– Password: Your Comcast email password - Step 8
Click Create.
Configure Windows Live Mail 2011 for Comcast Email
- Step 1
Open Windows Live Mail. - Step 2
Tap the Accounts menu and select the +Email button. - Step 3
Enter following details:
– Email Address: Enter your email address
– Password: Enter your password
– Display name for your sent messages: your name
– Click the check-box for Manually configure server settings. - Step 4
Click Next. - Step 5
Under Configure server settings:
– Server Type drop-down box: select IMAP.
– Server address: enter imap.comcast.net.
– Click the check-box for Requires a secure connection (SSL)
– Port: 993.
– In the Server address field under Outgoing server information: smtp.comcast.net.
– Click the check-boxes for both Requires a secure connection (SSL) and Requires authentication underneath the Server address field.
– Port: 587 under Outgoing server information. - Step 6
Click Next. - Step 7
Click Finish.
Congratulations! You’re done configuring your Windows Live Mail client to send and receive Comcast email.
Setup Comcast Email account on Windows 10 Mail
- Open Windows 10 Mail.
- Click on Get Started then Accounts. Click +Add Account
- Select Other account
- Enter following details:
– Email address: enter your email address.
– Your name: enter your name.
– Password: enter your password. - Click Sign-in.
Congratulations! You’re done configuring your Windows 10 Mail client to send and receive Comcast email.
Configure Windows 8 for Comcast Email
- Step 1
Open Mail. - Step 2
Click the Settings and then select Accounts. - Step 3
Click Add New Account. Then click Other Account. - Step 4
Click Show More Details. - Step 5
Enter following details:
– Email address: Enter your full email address
– Username: Enter your username
– Password: Enter your password
– Incoming (IMAP) email server: imap.comcast.net
– Port: 993
– Check the check box for Incoming server requires SSL
– Outgoing (SMTP) email server: smtp.comcast.net
– Port: 587
– Un-check the Outgoing server requires SSL box.
– Check the Outgoing server requires authentication and Use the same username and password to send and receive email check boxes. - Step 6
Click Connect.
Congratulations! You’re done configuring your Windows 8 Mail client to send and receive Comcast email.
Configure Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0 and Up
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
- Go to Accounts > Set up an account, then click Email.
- Type your name, email address and password, then click Continue.
- Select IMAP (remote folders)
- Click Done and you’ll be all set! You can now access your Comcast.net account using Thunderbird.
Manually Configure Incoming (IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) Server Settings
Configure IMAP Settings
- Go to the Tools menu and click on Account Settings.
- Click on Server Settings.
- Change your settings as desired, then click OK.
- For Comcast.net emails, use following settings:
– Server Name: imap.comcast.net
– Port: 993
– Connection Security: SSL/TLS
– Authentication Method: Normal password
– Check for new messages at startup: Yes
– Check for new messages: Every 10 minutes
– Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive: Yes
– When I delete a message: Move it to this folder: Trash
Configure SMTP Setting
- Go to the Tools menu and click on Account Settings, or right-click on your email address and select Settings.
- Click Outgoing Server (SMTP).
- Click Edit.
- Change your settings as desired, then click OK.
- For Comcast.net emails, use following settings:
– Description: Comcast
– Server Name: smtp.comcast.net
– Port: 465
– Connection Security: SSL/TLS
– Authentication Method: Normal password
– Click OK, on the Account Settings page
